Remove Gaps In Your Teeth
|
|
If you have space, or gaps between the teeth, there are three options for closing gaps:
-
Bonding -
Ideal for patient with small gaps and
natural teeth to attach the bonding material.
The bonding material
is placed on the in-between surfaces of the teeth
to close the gap. Bonding is tooth colored and
is used
in lower stress area.
-
Porcelain Veneers -
Ideal for patient with a large
gap, multiple gaps or someone unhappy with
their teeth color. A thin
layer of your natural teeth is removed and
a custom made porcelain veneer is bonded
onto the font and side
surfaces of your teeth. To close one gap, usually
two veneers are required. One on each side
of the space.
-
Porcelain Crowns. -
Ideal for patient with very large
gaps or existing crowns. The existing crown(s)
will be removed.
Or if the patient does not have an existing
crown, the tooth will be reduced to accommodate
a crown. To
close one gap, usually two porcelain crowns
are required (i.e. one on each side of
the space). The crowns are
then bonded or cemented into place to close
the gap.
